Can't find your controller in the A-LED app? Walk through these steps — most issues clear in under a minute.

Power the controller
Connect 12–24V DC. The status LED on the front should glow steady. Find the small pairing button on the side of the enclosure.

Hold the pairing button for 3 seconds
Hold until the LED switches to a fast blue blink. The controller is now in pairing mode for 60 seconds.

Enable Bluetooth on your phone
Make sure Bluetooth is on. On Android, A-LED also needs location permission — the OS requires it for Bluetooth scanning.

Open A-LED → New pairing device
Tap + on the home screen, then New pairing device. Any controller in pairing mode named
ALUVA-XXXXwill appear. Tap to connect.
Bluetooth range
- ~30 m line-of-sight (open room).
- 10–15 m through typical interior walls.
- 3–5 m through brick, concrete or metal.
Still not showing up?
- Stay within 10 m during pairing.
- Toggle phone Bluetooth off and on.
- Quit and reopen the A-LED app.
- Power-cycle the controller (unplug 10 s, replug).
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Will the controller work without internet or Wi-Fi?
Completely. ALUVA uses Bluetooth Low Energy directly between your phone and the controller — no router, hub or cloud account required.
Can multiple people control the same lights?
Yes. Any phone running A-LED that's in range can connect to a paired controller. Scenes are stored on the controller, not the phone.
Do the motion sensor and wall button need their own app?
No. They pair to a controller via the A-LED app once, then run on their own — no phone needed afterwards.
Which strips are compatible?
Any WS2811 / WS2812B addressable strip on the pixel channels, and any 2-wire tunable-white (warm + cool) strip on V3 / V4 white channels.
Does it work with Apple Home, Google Home or Alexa?
Not yet. ALUVA is a pure Bluetooth product today. A Wi-Fi bridge with HomeKit / Matter support is on the roadmap.
